This is the home page of Luc Bongaerts – active in supply chain during my entire (professional) life. I started my career in 1992, doing research at KU Leuven and obtained my Ph.D. in 1998, on the integration of scheduling and control in holonic manufacturing systems. Since 2000, I worked in a variety of roles at i2 Technologies, at that time a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions. After the decline of that company, I moved to OM Partners, now OMP and continued my work in business development, value management and advisory.
The main motivators in my career have always been on making a difference – first, in making a difference in the state of research. Later, in making a difference for my customers.
At the end of the day, if my customers are successful, I am succesful.
